following on from a discussion in the Ubi forums..
If the craters caused by bomb and shell could be made to last for the whole mission...instead of fading away after a minute or so...and their effect on plane wheels taxiing into them too.
then a damaged runway would have to be negotiated with care...and a DF map could be won by the side which denied use of the runway to its enemy

i recall mention that the cater duration was cut, in either AEP or PF, from whatever it was, to only 10 minutes max
never had a real use for it, but it will be nice to put that in AAA server maybe, set it to 3-4 minutes...jsut enuff to cause trouble

Creaters lasting the whole mission would make things very intresting indeed
There would be much more need to have fighters protecting the airfield's in online missions, it would make very good fun.

lol cant believe it, this what we were discussing on comms a few days ago, i would love to have bomb craters last much longer, forcing people to rear bases. a complete over run, it would allow advancement and take the skies. It is like strategic bombing.

Craters to last longer and smokes of destroyed objects to last longer, that would be very very very nice...
Tried to modify smokes duration already some time ago, managed to change dynamics of smoke and maybe duration but the result was not good, i didn't understand well the parameters..so I got some fancy floating smokes over destroyed things lol.

well i think it's a gd idea but maybe not for whole mission because if you drop a big bomb everywhere people can never take off because you destroyed their spawn spots which i know quite a few people aim to do lol... It depends on servers because i don't know exactly how this mod would work if it's the server or just you. For example some servers only have 2 bases so once u destroy spawn points no one can fly again!!

I think they would be more useful if they lasted for the whole mission
with DF servers..if things get too bad...just renew the map for the next game....the old map was WON
makes DF a bit more like co-ops...with a task and ending...instead of just a free-for-all

any chance of craters actually being craters instead of black marks on the ground?? if there was a dip that would be cool! and about the DF map thing if you get in a bf109 with 108s when no one is there you can just vulch every spawn point and there will be big holes there so your dead already lol
