Static.ini , Technics.ini (object DMs) - ROSOBORONEXPORTCORP - 10.11.2007
Ever wished trains were as durable as in Il2 V1-1.2b?
Questions yet to be answered:
- Do these files contain the actual damage model for objects?
- Can the program be made to call these files?
- Do they need to be transformed in some way?
I have so far tried adding them to filelist.ini and then modifying them with no luck.

These files only pertain to ground objects. Air combat would be completely untouched.

The ship DMs would be really nice to fix. It would be nice if they damaged/smoked sooner, and sank later. I'd like the sinking time longer, too, frankly.

And it would be really cool if the small sampans could be sinkable with .50's. Using the B-25H, it took 4 hits of 75mm and on each pass a long rafal with the 8 .50 to sink it, really too much for a wooden ship!!

The reality is that ships (like the "fishing boat" (which is really a wooden Sea Truck)) should catch fire and burn easily, then sink later. A Sugar dog hit with 50 cal would be underwater in 2 minutes (which would be a LONG sinking time in IL-2), it would burn to the waterline, THEN sink, lol.

Honestly, longer sinking, more damage when hit by the MXY.

So no one can answer any of these questions?
