TrackIR 6DOF Suggestion - manfromx - 13.11.2007

First of all big thanks for coming through with the 6DOF. There are some bugs with a few planes but overall it's just incredible. Although the reflector sights aren't perfect they still do their job (which was my biggest fear).

Anyways I was just wondering if it is at all possible to change the default "center" of the pilot. Each plane will probably have to be treated differently. What I noticed works best is if the center is a little higher, with less view of the instruments. I have a feeling that what we have now as center in IL-2 is a compromise of a day when we all had to hat switch or padlock. Our forward view had to be as functional in the plane as well as looking out. Now with 6dof we can truly break out of the cockpit so to speak.

Currently you can trick TrackIR by lowering your head and centering your trackir at that point. Try it out and see what I mean. Then just duck and move a little forward for the shooting once done Wink. Don't duck too much though when you center, you don't want your head in the roof in your normal flying position.

Hope that made sense. Just think when you drive a car. You can "see" your gauges but your focused on the top 80% of your vision which is outside the windows Smile.

Keep up the good work guys!

Problems: I notice a big shake when in clouds, dont centralize Axis planes gunsig...

Sugestion: a boton fast on/off to acess FW gunsing in combat.
