FAST giro 109G spiral spinner! - Paulo Hirth - 14.11.2007

Is possible make a MOD to do fast velocity to spiral spinner 109G/K?

will be a great improvement to 109G

Yes, i know what you mean. Possibly for the M.C's Bf's Fw's and the He-111

It would be great to try out what happens if the propeller didnt turn into 'disc-mode' after the startup, i.e. it would be only spinning faster (like the real thing!).
I wonder if there would be rendering errors or the load on the graphics card would become too much. Maybe it would be a great effect, but maybe we would still be able to see the blades spinning and not the disc-effect from real life. Dunno. I just hope it can be tried out.

Well whatever fps you get there will still be a "strobe" effect - like watching film where the prop will appear to reverse or stand still.

Only if the refresh frequency of the monitor and/or frame rate of the game match the prop spinning speed. But why not try it out? (But I'm sure that this would be very difficult to code!)

It would also be nice to allow the prop to slow down at a slower rate than it does now at shut down. When you pull the mixture off on a big Pratt, the prop takes several seconds to slow down and stop.
