any ideas on how to do those blisters?

i cant remember if they have guns or not - but how about the He-111 nose gunner position?

Also - is the PBY a amphibian like it RL?

early models were seaplanes

id have to go and look it up first, but AFAIK it was PBY-4s that first recieved landing gear (and other eq) makign it an amphibian

No landing gear on Il2s' PBY, though the floats do retract using "G"
