Am having troubles.. - aj906 - 20.11.2007
Sorry if this is dealt with somewhere else or this isn't the right place for this, but...
Not sure how to explain this without the aide of a screenie - but since d/loading the sound mod (v.9)
the game opens but produces this sort of a screen. Not all the aircraft you can see behind you (lower left of the pic) but Il2 now runs in this almost windowed mode. I've tried changing the screen size and windowed/full screen things in hardware set up to no avail. I can live with it - but I'd really rather not, if you know what I mean.
Warning: I'm not computer savvy so any advice on how to solve this problem is going to have to be spelt out - assume the worst of my computer abilities

im not sure myself but im sure someone may give you some help - i will ask around for you

Hmm if you could see in real time what was behind you - that could be rather handy
Have you tried changing your resolution settings?

...but then you'd be a very naughty boy....and be accused of cheating.....
mine has the same view...just got a new com and screen....and I assumed it was something to do with my settings....1280x1024
strange!

True - very bad

I cured it by going to the conf.ini
and under the [window]
change SaveAspect=1 to SaveAspect=0

It seems only the aircraft with mirrors have that little clip in the bottom, but it is still rather distracting.
I'll try what Fabianfred said and get back to you
{EDIT} That cured it - thanks for the heads up!
