Little Problem with N1K1-J & N1K1-Ja Canopy - duffys tavern - 22.11.2007

Notice that the canopy opens forward on the N1K1-J & N1K1-Ja. Can this be fixed?

- Scharnhorst1943 - 23.11.2007

I am sure it can be fixed. I don't think they know how to fix it right now, but I am sure that they can figure out how. I am also sure that they do know too. Perhaps one of them will drop in and clarify ...

There is a problem with the cockpit vision too.Seen from inside the cockpit the front cowlings seems to have projections on either side in the shape of an inverted V

Just to remind this problem, unless it is only my problem...something that I don't think so. Should I post an image?

- duffys tavern - 17.01.2008

Yes, please.

Look at the lines above the cockpit.

- Trooper117 - 17.01.2008

Yep.. They both have the same problem.. The cockpit view when opening the canopy is fine, the hood slides back correctly, but viewed from the outside, the canopy has slid forward instead of rearwards.
Cockpit view also has both versions with projections from the cowling as illustrated above.

The N1K2-JA is working correctly with no drama..

Any progress?

Anyone managed to fix this yet?

- Bee - 23.03.2008
