Water Textures - F22-Raptor-2006 - 25.11.2007

Hi guys is there a config setting for the water textures somewhere?

- Forager - 25.11.2007

Almost at the bottom of the file:

VideoSetupId=17
Water=1
Effects=1
ForceShaders1x=0

Water from 0 to 4 depending on your machine power.

I changed it and then started game and there was no difference. Then I looked at the config file and it had changed back to 1 again!

Mine is slightly different it says:
VideoSetupId=10
Water=1
Effects=1
ForceShaders1x=0

(Vid setup is 10 not 17)
I changed effects to 4 and they changed back to 2 (was originally 1)

well go to setup ( not in game but : IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2setup.exe) and change under driver tab provider into openGL and you should be fine

No, perfect does not work if using directx

Is it possible that your video card will not support perfect settings?

Hm.... I'm not the ATI-User,

but I have asked Google ^^

It seems, the ATI X300 has near same skill like ATI 9600,
and is somewhere between the Nvidia Geforce 5200 and GF FX 5900 types.

And if integrated as OnBoard-Graphic Card it seems to have lesser performance.

Using High Detail resolution (1024x768) maybe doesn't work well... you will get stutter and freezes.

AFAIK, the onboerd X300 has a xpress 200 chip set.
The X300 HM (Hypermemory) is a seperate Graphic Card to plug on Mainboard, has near same attributes.

About supported Shader-Details or other definitions I couldn't find anything...I'm sorry.

Maybe this Benchmark Screen can help you:

IMHO, if you use IL-2 Shturmovic Stab 6.3 you can easy test some details under "options".

But you should think about an Upgrade...or an new High End System as Home Station.
