TBF/M Cockpits - VT-51_Razor - 30.11.2007
MrJolly, please don't take this the wrong way. I am NOT complaining. I love flying the Turkey - porked FM and all. I just want to ask about your reasons for choosing the B-239 cockpit over the F2A-2. I suspect it was because of the reflecting gunsight in the B-239. I am wondering if it would be possible to use the F2A-2 cockpit and swap out the two sights? I also realize that there might be a problem with this idea because of the different functions of the SHF F1 between the two cockpits, even if the swap could be made. Maybe it might have had something to do with the windows at the floor of the F2A-2's cockpit?
The reason I bring it up is because of the canopy not opening on the B-239, and the difference in the instrumentation between the Finnish B-239 and the uS Navy F2A-2. The ability to open the canopy and remove the canopy frame work from the view is not only a huge leap for an individual's SA, but it also has a great deal to do with immersion, for me at least.
I am also wondering if, had you used the F4F cockpit, the vertically adjustable seat position would have come with it. This would help some folks a great deal in getting back aboard the carrier
These are just questions That have occurred to me while flying the Turkey. I am very happy with it, if not ecstatic! So, please don't misconstu my questions as complaints. You all have totally reinvented this five year old game, and I'd be willing to bet that Oleg will realize additional sales of his baby as a result of your efforts!

F4F would be a better choice
