Possible to erase the cannons of the MKVb?? - RealDarko - 03.12.2007

We are all using the Spit MkVb as the SpitMKI, will be possible to cut the cannons on the 3d model? It will still be a MKVb but will look like a SpitMKI that will be better that see the cannons. Hope is possible while we wait for a real MKI

More importantly, at least to me, is it possible to replace the cannons with .303s, regardless of the 3D model? This would allow for more accurate BOB campaigns.

If not the Vb then what about one of the other Spitfire models, what about the Seafire? Might that be adapted?

I used MkV to create Spitfire MkII b. I modified the existing Merlin III engine to create Merlin XII (rated at 1175) and used Spitfire MkV b 3D model, aerodynamic parameters and damage model. MkV and MkII should be very close in external appearance and aerodynamics and have identical weapons.

I'm still waiting for reliable data on the aircraft performance so I can test if I got it right.

So far I adjusted the weight and engine. Still need to tune the engine and aircraft params (rated alt, boost, max speed)

My MkII does about ~450km/h at sea level, I don't know if this is correct.
My subjective assesment after a short test flight: It turns very well, low speed handling is amazing, acceleration seems slower compared to MkV.

P.S. The mod was done modifying existing class, I'm still unable to get the Il-2 engine to run with classes I compiled. I'm using 4.05.
