So if they can be removed, it would only be a cosmetic thing? That sucks, I was hoping on having them removed and getting a performance boost along the lines of the FB.VI.

what are the slipper tanks?

Those big bulges outboard of the engines, under the wing. Historically speaking, these were like any other drop tank, in that they were fitted as per the mission. They werent an integral part of the aircraft like you see it in the sim.

Unfortunately it doesnt change the flight model.
