Actually you ARE WRONG.
:!:
No BF-109 had giyro sight installed. Not even for testing.
If you look at the pics in the EZ-42 thread you'll realize that EZ-42 was just too big and bulky for the small BF-109 pit. I read somwhere that only the glass piece in the EZ42 was around 40 Kg's!
So no , I hope no one installs it in the 109 for you just because some spits have it.
This is really getting ridiculous. "hey how come the other guy has mirrors and i don't have, Hey i want to see through my armor plate".
Back then some planes had advantage over others. Some had cool gagets installed some didn't, Some had better visibility then other. Keep it that way.

Then Revi is great gunsight

javs2002, my question was ONLY a question, I'm not a whiner.
I asked in a gentle way if the '109 has or not a gyro gunsight. If no i will go on to fly in the same way without problem.
I guess that your answer is ridicoluos.
- lupo81 - 07.12.2007
.....sorry..... RIDICULOUS

You're not asking if the later versions of 109's had a gyro sight, you were saying not asking.
Unless you provide us with the proper evidence/proof....
And for what i see the guys at AAA are aiming for realism and not for "pimp my ride".

Now this was the question and it was answered.

All of you are wrong. The EZ40 gyro gunsight was tested on the earlier Bf 109F. Shown below:
- rossmum - 11.06.2009
I bet that was fun, in the already-cramped 109 cockpit...
- vampire_pilot - 12.06.2009
actually, I am sure there where several versions of evolution of the "Adler" gunsight.
I just read teh new released book by smith&creek on the He-162 and bleive it or not - this aircraft was tested with the EZ-42 and was selected for series fitting but destruction of the plant that produced the device just left an testplane and the rest was equipped with the available ReVi16.
The He-162 is even smaller than the 109 and teh EZ-42, which was the one braught to action was much smaller thaen the version shown below.
actually what is wong with requesting a pimped ride, especially when it really was tested or even brought to use?
The EZ-42 was built into a lot of Me-262s, we still don't have it there yet.

Yeah I know that... I read that the EZ-42 had been placed in the Bf 109G but could never find any solid proof. Most sources say that it was installed only in the Me 262, Fw 109D, and Do 335. It was supposed to be installed on the Ta 183, but that was never finished in reality...
