P-47 LOADOUT BUG? - vtrelut - 18.12.2007
When selecting the ammo loadout for the P-47, I noticed that the 1000lbs bomb and the 500lbs bombs look all the same. This is apparent especially when selecting a loadout combining a 1000 lbs bomb and 2x500lbs bombs. If that is the case, then it is a bug in the game?
Could someone make a MOD to correct this, so that we can actually carry a true 1000lbs bomb under our P-47s?
Thanks in advance for the attention of modders on this point.

The problem is, this would be part of the weapons parameters... so it means, unfortunatly, it cannot be touched...
It sucks, but the AAA stand point on it is a big juicy 'No-No' - and at the moment, its understandable. As with the Fw-190 questions about the tanks, you might just have to drop down to V.4.05 to enjoy this correctness....

Oh, I knew about this, but I thought my point would not fall under the ban category: it is simply a bug correction: not a change of weapon parameters, but just a change from the wrong ammo to the correct type. In other words, replace the wrong bomb by the correct one, without changing any weapon parameter in the 500lbs or the 1000lbs bombs.
I hope there is no misunderstanding. A bug is a bug. If this is not a bug, and if I mistakenly saw a 500lbs bomb under the fuselage of my P-47, while it is actually a true 1000lbs one, then fine: leave it as it is. But it is supposed to be a 1000lbs one as offered in the ammo selection menu, and if it is confirmed by others that it is just a 500lbs one, then maybe there is a chance that this bug be corrected, simply because a 1000lbs bomb is a 1000lbs bomb, not a 500lbs one.
The other way would be to correct the loadout file menu, and allow the player to load only 500lbs bombs, but this would be simply inaccurate and wrong for the P-47.

Vrelut i'm with you..and there are LOTs of bugs that may be changed for Historic correction and not for cheat - Only wish is that the poll of Wasy about "to edit or not FM/Dm parameters etc.." is NOT close and there isn't for now a "no-no" sentence right now. We that would only a more historic data on all planes Oleg and team made wrong, we only can push modders to release -CORRECTIONS- I suggested a commision of 3 modders that can change data, BUT TILL NOW NO BIG SUCCESS

I seem to recall somewhere that that was just visual.. that the weight is actually for a 100 lb bomb. I jujst cant remember the exact post.

Since you are talking about correct loadouts,can we make the loadout of the P-47 correct with extra ammo and a drop tank. Also is there anyone that could mod the cockpit of the D-10 and D-22 to correctly place the gun sight. If Robert Johnson,or Gabby Gabreski had to look thru the gunsight we have in game I am sure history would not be the same.

No, and it isn't just the ban, we are unable to modify loadouts in 4.08 for technical reasons. It might be possible with some kind of hybrid version of 4.05 and 4.08 and it is certainly possible in 4.05
