JSGME - Need help! - Ghost - 19.12.2007

Greetings gentlemen!

I have a problem with JSGME utility. I had to reinstall my Sturmovik yesterday as some of the mods messed up my game files. Now, when I installed the game again, and patched it properly, I wanted to use JSGME for the mods (as I found a post here about it, where it says that the JSGME works with these mods), but, I tried it and it DOESN'T work. Mods that improve sounds and stuff work, but when I try to run airplane mods, they don't work. I can find them in the flyable planes list, I can choose to fly them, but when the game starts, I cannot control them...

Can anyone give me an advice?

I've used jgsme for sh3 and sh4 but didn't try it for il2. I HAVE tried extracting the mods to an empty folder and the way they are packed I just don't think it will work. Instead of JGSME you might just have to use 2 installs. Maybe MRJOLLY or somebody who packs the mods can tell us what would need to be done so they would extract correctly into an empty directory.

I'm using JGSME without any problem but I have couple of IL2 installs on my PC and I use JGSME to enable and disable different mods, I don't use it to go from clean install to moded game.

I'm using JGSME in Il-2 without a single problem (I'm using only the basic sound mod 9.2). It changes between standar and modded version without problem. I think it can be very useful to try different mods

Hi Guys,

if JGSME will not work, just try Sound_Mod_Switcher here from Download-Section:

(The link is inoperative)

Read and follow the instructions, if your IL-2 installation Root isn't standard
(C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\...) you only have to edit the BAT Files
(Mouse-Right-Click and choose "Edit" from Context)
with the Notepad or an other Editor.

Here you must replace Standard Root with YOUR exactly install Root path (i.e. mine is: I:\Games\Il-2 Sturmovik 1946).

Last step is: Make short cuts from "Sound_Mod_On.bat" and "Sound_Mod_Off.bat"
to your Desktop, to change quickly if you want/must.

That works !!!
