Armed paratroopers - RAF_Loke - 19.12.2007

Now that would be great to have, especially with all these troop carrying planes we now have.
No idea if it's possible or not, but it would be cool to have them armed with light weapons, no need for them to run around, just to make them shoot back.
Imagine you drop them over an enemy airfield in Battle of Crete style :twisted: hehe.

Good idea.. Hope its possible. Would certainly increase the immersion.

I'm thinking that as soon as they hit the ground, they deploy (rather, instantly turn into) an MG42 possie for axis, or .50 possie for allied. Only problem is would it work online, and would theskies be filled with flying lead as 32 .50 cals tried to take you down.

good idear, but its a combat flight sim, not a war sim. think how much lagg is caused when 32 paratroopers drop and then add 4 flights of 4. still a good idear none the less.

No more so than a large ground battle taking place with tanks and artillery... I've flown in to a combat area to make a ground attack sortie with large battles going on on many campaigns..

I agree with danger that it could be a FPS killer with 32 paratroopers shooting + all the AA fire.
Still like the idea though Smile.
