How to change gun sounds volume? - Guest - 10.01.2008

The gun sounds for ALL planes in 0.93 are definitely not loud enough. I would appreciate a mod that makes them louder.
(or instructions to do that myself.. if it isn't too difficult)

This is what I have done to make certain sounds louder;

Select which sound you want to adjust

Right click on the file

Select the word "Record"

You should now see a small box appear

Select the word "Effects"

Select the sentence "Increase Volume (by 25%) If this is greyed out at any stage you need convert this audio file to WAV file then back to its original format ie; OGG etc.

that's it....and select "save".

However you can also download freeware sorftware products that can fine tune even further.

Venatore/JAMF: that's not what I was thinking about.
I was more for telling the game the volume it should use for playing those files.

I just found out that you can set volumes for the sounds editing the [spl] value of .prs files in /files/preset
