IP address history possible? - JAMF - 22.01.2008

I was wondering if it would be possible to modify the "Connect to server" screen, so it displays the last 5 IP addresses? If not selectable, maybe just displayed, so copying them over is easier. If they are stored in a textfile, giving them "names" for easier ID-ing would be great too... and if there are favourites, making the textfile readonly would lock the IPs in place!?

there is a problem, the bad boys will try to hack the server and even YOUR computer. so i dont intentially support idea. just my opinion

Well, it's not so much for using it with HL, but when you switch servers between friends. When you type in the IP address, it would have been nice if the game had a "favourites" pull-down, where you enter the IP address.

And bad boys have ways to find IPs easily, when they connect. They only have to look at their net log.

Or... an external utility that you can run, select the IP you want to connect to, then click on something like connect/or run or whatever, which then boots up the game - straight into the connected game... Something like a Hyperlobby-come Hamachi utility or something like that Smile

I think it's a good idea. Because HyperLobby doesn't support unicode. As a result Korean, Japanese and Chinese Windows can not use HyperLobby to play. And direct IP connection is also essential for the squads without dedicated servers.

I know its not ingame but have you tried Xfire, it keeps a history of recently player servers. You can add favorites & scan for more server then show up in HyperLobby.
