RDDR, I'm going to hijack this thread slightly to also ask about the possibility of redoing some of the textures for the 'generic' pits used for the 'new flyables'.
Specifically, I'm thinking about the chances of doing the B-25 cockpit that is used for the LW planes, such as the Condor, Me321/323, and others. They would look much better with the metal panels done in a LW grey color, than the Allied green color, don't you think?
I'm not too clued up on this at the moment, but it doesn't seem like too big a deal to just change the color of the metal panel parts. I reckon these pits would feel much more 'the part' if they were done in a more realistic German color .... :?:

And, adding to what malone said before... flying in a German plane with intsruments in MPH isn't very nice... so if u start modding the pits, put in Geeerman instruments!

I recognise a few British dials in the Storch so it isn't an exact model from WW2. There's also a modern digital dial in the middle too. But it's a nice basis for someone to work from.

Is it just me or does this pic look like it's at some altitude? It looks like the pilot was flying at a few hundred meters and hopped up on the seat to take a pic, lol!

Is that the altimeter to the left of the slip indicator?

You can see why SG_2Wasy chose the P-39 cockpit.
The difficulty, though, is in the distinctiveness of the P-39 canopy (in particular the spars and the lack of a central spar). If only we could merge the Pe-2 and P-39?
