MIDI to HOTAS converter/interface ? - Fisneaky - 24.01.2008
Can this be done as an app or a mod?
Seems such a shame to have sliders and knobs doing nothing while I'm flying.
MIDI was always on the gameport , though these days its all on USB (Fruity Loops will take joystick as input)

You could maybe create a gameport-to-USB convertor (+ extra buttons & axes) with Leo Bodnar's BU0836 chip?

Yeah , been giving those some serious thought, but what about all these rotaries -
If only I could assign them in Il2
At the end of the day MIDI is just another serial input. perhaps a driver patch for windows is what is needed.

Evolution is USB, shouldn't it work out of the box? But the downside is, DirectX only recognises 8 axes per "controller", so the UC-33e would need to be recognised by Windows as at least 4, prefferably 5 seperate controlllers (24+9=33 and 4x8=32).
