Hi Vincent! Excuse my efforts at informing people. From observations it looks like there is lag with FreeTrack, between the movement and the displayed motion. TrackIR is instant. Smile

I use Freetrack. Works awesome.

I use freetrack... but find it has trouble tracking my LED's.... I've tried several configurations. But must admit, that I've seen it working good, so must recommend it also.

Only reason I'm switching to a TrackIR is that I've managed to find one cheap enough 2nd hand Smile

In New Zealand the cheapest you can get them new (without importing them from the states) is $300 NZD... Sad

..and if you did import, you would be charged tax, p&p AND paid for converting NZD to USD. Tongue

I use a single red LED with the tip filed flat to make it more wide-angle. Works great, but I basically play in the dark so there is no interferece.

Anyone wanting to use this in lit conditions should use an infrared LED and pull the IR filter out of their webcam.

If you've got a two-part joystick setup (thrust control + stick) , then you definately need one.

a single stick setup and you should be able to manage with the mouse. I do.

If you've got the money and want to become the best, then its worth getting
