Screenshot request/contest - Murilo Specht - 25.01.2008

I am on a Forgotten Hope 2 tournament, and I fly on the RAF, so I would like to make a signature for my user on the forum of the tournament, for that, I need a screenshot of the

Flying in formation, I do realize there is no such Vb on IL-2, but one of the Vc models should do it, they must all have RAF markings and desert skin, the markings don't need to be just like in Forgotten Hope, but it would be even better if they were. Of course it should be on a sunny desert map, without clouds. The formation should be really tight and the Beaufighter must be leading it, with the Spitfire and Hurricane flying really close on his wings, one on each wing. The screenshot must be on a high resolution, with filters, and if you want, you can give it a little touch with photoshop, but it's not really needed, 'cause I can do it myself.

Post your screenshots here, the winner will be the winner, and I'll use his screenshot as a base to my signature.

Formation - F22-Raptor-2006 - 26.01.2008

well I'll have a talk with hawk about this because we're doing a air show tomorrow GMT 1PM I think at the moment. We should be able to get a Beaufighter in the lead whether that being an AI or player and we could form on it really really close lol. Unfortunately the pictures i can't take since I can't run that high graphics so I'll either get hawk or carosel43 (probs lead in beau) to take the pictures. We got some great ones of mozzys flying together in close formation and in breaks:







and one from our P38 formation display:



It depends how close u meant close lol I could get it nearly touching the fuesalage of the beaufighter lead if u want lol

About the only way to get a real tight formation is to either go online with some buds, as you've done here, or "cheat" by making a composite. AI doesn't seem to like "close" too much! :lol:

Oh, that's beautiful, Hawk! It's dang hard to do too! Make a run in a perfect formation like that and the target is toast! :twisted:

Unless someone flies bombers a lot and is into it, they don't have any idea what a challenge it is. You've really got to line up on the target quite well early on. You can't be making sudden, large, last minute adjustments. It just doesn't work.

Control your speed, stay focused on the lead, keep your positions relative to one another. That takes concentration, anticipation and a light touch on the stick and throttle. When it all comes together, it's awesome!

Usually the biggest problem is finding fighters willing to escort AND fighters who know HOW to escort. It really stinks when you pull off a good run only to be taken out by enemy fighters either because you don't have escorts or because the escorts don't understand the difference between a dogfight and escort duty! :wink:

Specht if you have time and me and hawk are on teamspeak we can arrange this flight with you leading or on a wing... this way you can have it exactly as you want and you can participate at the same time!

NOW you're talking, Hawk!

I love the Hurri. It's one of my favorites. It's a very "humble" aircraft but it has classic looks and it was the true hero of the BoB as Hurris outnumbered Spits. The BoB Hurris were more capable than most people think as they could turn tighter than the 109e. When I think BoB, I think Hurri! :wink:

If you can make them look like those pictures I posted above, it would be perfect

EDIT: I just realized that there is a Spitfire Mk.Vb on the game, make the skin for that one, for the Hurricane Mk.IIc and the Beaufighter
