Remove the bomb rack on FW190 A8 and A9? - jermin - 27.01.2008

Whatever weapon load you choose, the A8 and A9 in game will always have a bomb rack under the fuselage, although it doesn't affect the FM. Is it possible to delete the rack so that it will only appear when a bomb is carried?

Btw: Rack was mounted on all Fw 190 A-8 and A-9. Flying with "noracks" A-8/9 is not historical.

But there was a small rack introduced that decreased the drag of the installation somewhat, it was much smaller and streamlined than the stock one we have now. It wasn't installed on all 190's, but on a big enough number.

i remember reading somewhere that unless you have a bomb load out then the rack has no aerodynamic penalty, ie it is purely visual and has no effect on the planes handling.

The bomb rack is not the problem - the unreal (for A-6 onwards) wheel covers are the problem. We have to take it off in a hurry! :?
