Question About The Speed Bar - VT-51_Razor - 02.02.2008
Would it be possible for the values of speed and altitude to be represented in smaller increments than are presently shown? For instance, the speed in Knots are in 10 Knot increments and altitude is in 50 foot increments. Would it be possible to bring it down to 5 Knots and say, 10 foot increments?
Just a thought :?

How about adding a fourth display in the cycle which is TAS?!!!?

i can have a go at doing this but im not sure if i can do it

Thanks for looking into this MrJolly

The altitude in 10's of feet would be especially nice for carrier traps.
- VT-51_Razor - 03.02.2008
Yes, definitely, as well as the speed in 5's. Plus or minus 10 knots is a huge margin when trying to fly on the edge of a stall!

Absolutely!

A bump for MrJolly

And another nice thing would be the altitude in increments of meters, not 10's of meters, same thing for airspeed.

Klemm, I think that if it were in single meter digits, you'd have a tough time reading it. The numbers would be a blur from changing all the time. At five meter increments, you would find it much more user friendly IMHO. Same with speed.

I think that for the altitude it would be okay to display it in Meters; the Speed should of course be displayed in 1 km/h increments. And make it selectable if possible between old and new way.
Also very interesting would be the speed in meters per second, which is much less cryptic than kilometers per hour.
Just suggestions though, not demanding anything here. Take your time, MrJolly!
