Crosshair Colours - BloodStain - 09.02.2008

Hi,
I was thinking. Is it possible to change the cross hair colour because when I'm flying towards certain objects (snow, sun etc) the yellow cross hair is barely visible. I'm new to this game so I'm not much of an expert either but everything helps....

Thanks,
BloodStain

Any changes to aircraft cockpits or otherwise are generaly only changed for the sake of historical accuracy, not for fun or just to make life easy mate...
You never know, someone may take pity on you though

So all the planes; Japanese, British, Germans, Italians, French etc all used yellow cross hairs?

It does not make much of a difference as I can still play with a yellow cross hair and its not worth bothering about. I was just wondering whether some kind of file/file content changing would change the colour of the cross hair.

Go on the internet and google various sights and reticles, you will see real life images of many showing on the whole bright yellow images.. (generaly the standard bulbs available of the day)..
As to having problems identifying targets when flying towards the sun etc.. well, now you know what real pilots had problems with, so thats realistic isn't it?
Some aircraft had a 'dimmer' available that could be raised to shield against the sun, and some aircraft have this ability in game, you may have to map a button in your control section to use it.. but remember not every aircraft of the day had it..
There are some arcade type aircraft games available if you just want an easy life.. but this game tries to simulate as best as possible a realistic WWII pilot experience.

Ok, Thanks alot. I didn't notice the dimmer in the options. The more realistic the better, its a simulator after all.

lol.. Glad you are having fun, I really love the game, had it for years now and still enjoy it..
Remember though, this is not a simulator, but a good effort at pretending to be one!
