High Alt Level Bomber Campaigns - Tons on Target - VT51_Thud - 18.02.2008
Is it possible to create a a large transparent object that can be placed over a factory or other fairly large area? What I am thinking of is that a high alt bombing run is more about Tons on Target (ToT) instead of precesion (sp) hits.
The object could calculate the number of hits but not be destroyed until the set value (ToT) is reached.
Is something like this possible?

I like this idea. I suppose you could make a large item like one of the castles or the Crimean Rock object transparent, and then alter the static.ini to make it tougher.
I don't think it would respond to how many tons were dropped on it though, not in the way you're thinking.

Problem is what we are limited to in "scoring" objects. The "team side" stationary objects.
Is there an ini that defines these such that we could add a new target TYPE altogether to stationary objects? Like "Factory."
That would be cool. Then we clone the factories in as staionary objects, give them a side, and done.

But maybe we can simulate tons on target with a realy tought object that need more than one bomb to be killed.
Will be nice for bomber pilots over Europe

well I can tell you that the crimea rock...and the castles...do not have damage models....they are impregnable.....and sometimes anexplosion can destroy a plane or truck inside a hanger without destroying the hanger......all a bit confusing
airfield plates have invisible types...but they are not a part of the normal FMB and do not show on the Objects list
