Might be a driver issue, but I'm wondering if it's a skin issue. Possibly putting a P-51D skin in the P-51B/C/Mustang III folder?

thanks, i tried several skins but that didn

have you downloaded anything for those planes like Mustang?

no there aren

I think I do. The black dots are probably caused by rendering the canopy glass reflections incorrectly. I'm not sure exactly where to fix it and I'm in a hurry, but here is where to look:

1) Drivers and graphic card settings in windows
2) conf.ini
3) il2 graphic DLLs

Hi,

I agree with BSDog. I have not had this problem before (I AM NO TEKKIE) but i have messed about with the game & all its settings/graphics before & you must have a setting in the confi file set wrong.

What i can do to help is send you my confi file.

I'm very happy with it & gives me a high FPS on & offline.

You save yours, replace with mine & see if the effect goes away, if it does you can keep it or ammend yours with the new sttings....as you wish. If you dont like, you just replace with yours agai, nothing is lost & it might sort it out.

post your email or send pm.

I will do tonight.

i tried changing card settings, installed the latest driver and changed some lines in the conf.ini, but without success
i must admit that my knowledge about the conf.ini settings is very poor, so that

hi,

glad to have been of help  make a backup copy of that confi (the good one) in case you decide to play around with the settings in the future Big Grin

Those dots look like the rivet patterns on some of the panels.

I have the very same problem. I went to conf.ini as was suggested and changed what I found at TexCompress. What I found is TexCompress-2 ( thats minus 2) so I changed it to =2. Brought up the sim and found the same problem as I had before. I then went to Directx and everything is fine now even the water looks much nicer. Im new to IL-2 so Im not sure how this is going to affect my on-line play. Will have to wait until tonight when PD takes us out of sleep mode. Big Grin
