Saving a mission - Deacon352nd - 07.03.2008

Is it possible through some type of mod to save a long mission at some point along the way and then at a later time, start it back up with all planes and objects in pretty much the same position they were when the game was paused and saved?
I know that this was possible in CFS1 and allowed us to fly a bombing mission to Germany from England and then return all the while saving it at least once so that the 8 hour mission could be flown in real time but divided up into two or three sessions.

You mean to tell me that it's been almost a week and nobody desires this capability or has figured out how to do it?

it is like the track files......people would like to be able to run them in reverse.......but it cannot be done...the game engine and method of recording tracks doesn't make it possible

a track records all the joystick input to re-fly the mission.......so if we were able to stop a mission and replay it....it would have to start from the beginning and play in real time until it got to the point of saving..

so your 8 hour mission would still take 8 hours Cry
