Some advice please - JG52Batz - 11.03.2008

As happy as i am with Photo.net i would like to upgrade to something better.
and my question is which do i choose Photo shop or paint shop???? :?: :?: :?:

If you can afford Photoshop, get it. If you get an older copy, don't go back beyond version 5. Newer is GENERALLY better.

Paint Shop is the next best thing and a lot less expensive. Depends on your budget and what you can find floating around out there in terms of used software. Again, newer is GENERALLY better.

The most favored older version of Photoshop is version 7.

Ever tried GIMP? It's open source freeware, very similar to PhotoShop. It's not perfect as the map makers here found out (evidently it did not do map files well).

Well in the end i went for Photoshop now my next question is is there a site for some plugins and effects for it. It already has a good stock collection of effects but i just wondered if there were more? Big Grin
