sorry to hear about your problem...
maybe no-one replied because maybe no-one else has this problem...and I must admit it is hard to see how it could occur :?

Just a theory, but, perhaps it has nothing to do with the mods themselves, perhaps its a little nasty caught from day to day surfing... have you noticed this anomaly with any other files/folders going walkabout?

Can never exclude nasties from surfing but its ONLY my skins folder that is affected!nothing else...weird as hell ..especially when un released templates with months of work go awol
.never had this on XP either...got that fangled Vista thingy..yay :S
Thanks for ur thoughts lads !

Are you sure you havent inadvertently changed their properties to hidden?

Type 'chkdsk' in under the start menu/run - this will do a sector check on your hd and you can exclude the possibility of hardware failure - it will also correct any errors found in the filesystem. There also Norton Disc Doctor for bigger campaigns.

I have no idea as to what would cause your disappearing files, But if they have been deleted or even if the disc has been re-formatted I suggest you get File scavenger 3.2 as it can recover deleted files.
I cannot give it a big enough thumbs up as it recovered all of the stuff I inadvertently deleted belonging to my girlfriend. A life saver...sex life that is

Could they have somehow got designated as "hidden" folders?
Maybe Tools > Folder Options > View> Hidden Files & Folders, then select "Show Hidden Files or Folders" and see if they reappear. :?
