2 x Grafik cards - advice pls - SVHAK - 13.03.2008

Hi guys,

this is my current system is: WIN XP, AMD ATHLON 64 X DUAL CORE PROCESSOR 38000+, 4.0 GB RAM, NVIDIA G/F 79000 GT/GTO.

Question is:

Can i add anither G/card to this?

It would have to be exactly the same?

Is it worth it, quality/ visual wise?

I'm pretty useless with all this so any advice would be much appreciated

of course you can connect another card but it has to be SLI ready

As far as I know, yes.

It must be the same model, as far as I know you cannot pair a 7900GT with a 6800 or 7950.

Depends upon the screen resolution you run. I run a single 7950GT on a AMD Athlon 4000 at 1024x768 resolution. Water 2 looks great and is really smooth with 4xAA and no AF. I can see where SLI would be good if you want to run high resolutions (about 1600x or greater) and maybe lots of AF (although that does not seem to help IL2 graphics that much).
