CH Throttle Quadrant - Smeghead - 17.03.2008
Apologies if this has been raised before but could anyone please advise me if and how you can map the throttle levers to that of the aircraft so multi engined aircraft have a lever designated for that engine etc?
Is there a mod in the making for this somewhere if not already working?
Would make for some excellent simulated multi engined combat flying.
Cheers

Smeghead,
if you make it, pls share your experience in this thread + tracks would be helpful.

I got that software 'Throttle' for my Saitek Aviator stick and it works fine.I'm thinking of getting a throttle quadrant for use with the four-engines planes to...as with my present set-up it operates only engines 1 and 2
there is a thread on ubi GD forum about this right now

Fabianfred, does it work on line or is it constrained to the Devicelink system of Il-2 making it only an off line option?
Thanks.
Had a quadrant for quite soem tem now, and thsi would be grate fo rme, but I only fly on line, with my squad.

Hi,
I have got a ch quadrant throttle and this soft (shareware) works fine online.
you can use throttle and propeller (but not mixture) with it.

Hey Coromon...how does the CH throttle quadrant go?....OK?
looking at a picture it doesn't seem to have very much movement of the levers....compared to the Saitek one...??
@baco.....the Throttle software uses Java..for which you pay the license fee...the software is free

Fabian, Coromon,
what are practical benefits, except (obvious) better taxing on a ground?
are you using it with 2-engine fighters like P-38 and achieving better performance in dogfight?
thanks

Hi,
I think it's better in energy dogfight when after a climb you want to change direction on top more quickly. I use rudder and I reduce power in the same side.

The P-38 could literaly turn on its axis by chopping one throttle and advancing the other.. This was recognised and used by pilots during WWII..
To do this properly in game you need seperate throttle set ups...
