Bf 109F-2 "Galland" - *{64s}Tomio_I - 18.03.2008

Is it possible to add an optical gunsight as Galland put on his 109 F-2 ?
the Buffalo F2-A2 gunsight should be used for this (no need for open it)

The aircraft you have on the picture is a Bf-109E-4, not an F-2.

Btw.: Galland's E-4 had an optical gunsight, his F-2/U hadn't.

his F2 had also too, i've got a profile

A profile!!

try photos, his Special didnt have the telescope.
It wasnt a scoped gunsite mearly a telescope to ID targets at a greater range

Never trust profiles or art work. Only ever photo's.

anyway... what's the problem to add an optical gunsight on 109F?

Its not right to do it if its not historicly correct. Find the proof (Photographs) and it can be done

and can be sort of cheating too

Ugh, here we go again.

OK, if its historically correct how is it cheating? Are the gyro gunsights for some late war craft "cheating"? What about the extra mirrors?

- butch - 19.03.2008

This is the ZRF3A, a telescopic gunsight used in Luftwaffe

ok nice guys to find the proofs...
i knew it had been used but couldnt find any proof

that's clear that only a few pilot used this because they preferred that to a "classic" gunsight

will you do something personnally hawk :?: Tongue
