"MOD NORMANDIE 1943" at Il2 Fusion - Bee - 25.03.2008

Just wanted to give a plug to LAL_R-One's new version of the Normandy map. Probably the most beautiful user made map mod I have seen yet. The airfields are amazing and the use of random trees is just perfect. Escpecially on the smaller strips. Not sure if I'm allowed to post links directly from here, but if you know the way, you really should go over and check it out. And make sure to leave a rating too.

Link please? (I can't find anything with Google!)

Yeah, we would love to see it, but where is it? :o

Point Du Hoc and an airfield near the coast. i wonder where the small takeoff points are for, i think for take-off from the ramp position, which is more realistic to me

Can the moderators confirm if it is permitted to post a link to the site? :?

Rammjager,

Try "il2fusion" (no spaces between the letters/numbers). You have to join and it's all in French.

i can't see there being a problem, after all, were modding is not restricted to AAA

... well , link at cockpit reskin section (for bf109...) to that site has been removed by Jolly ... so do the math

I believe there are some weapon changing mods .... that AAA policy doesn't approve .

So please .... no links to that site

thanks,
Z

Well, if that was so, howcome some of them are pointing to the South?

I have to test it out, but there where clearly a cross simble of an airfield, so ill check out later.

Howcome that these weapon chnging mods are not aproved? Is it a matter of historical correctness?

those red arrows are 'Runaway' icons....from the map tools FMB....so that screenshot must have been made from that FMB

the four together are obviously for side-by-side take-offs

AAA policy is that no weapon/FM/DM changes on stock (default) planes are allowed ...( only on new planes such is Spit MkI)

.... no matter how historical correct it may be

Still i think the airfields are very nice. In online play, like i used to do to test something out, i cannot find out where the extra take-off points are for, but im asume that they are for taking-off away from the ramp. In online you wind up facing some houses and stuf, but it sure looks very nice. Im greatfull for the Slovacia map, which makes the ground looks more realistic

Godverdoom !

That skin is not realistic, nor historical...
