Copy this and paste it to yours \IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\MAPMODS\maps\finsgulf \load.ini
Looks about 1000 times better than original. Be sure. I am from Finland :wink:

Easy installation:

Exctract this file to yours \Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\MAPMODS\maps folder. You can make backup of original finsgulf folder by renaming it for excample ;finsgulf. Happy flying from Kt!
Ps: FLY_zo or somebody. Make installer for it, please.
Next step is to learn actors static tool, so i can make new Helsinki...

About time. I think it is wize to re-texture all Maps, so far a lot of them are olready done. Nice job. Will look into it tomorrow

ok, i'll make installer no prob. .... will rename your load ini ( add prefix) and make entry for new map in all.ini .
anyone who wants to have this one as default map should just rename your load.ini to default name ...
is that ok ?

Big thanks for the guys who made the textures, BTW in my load.ini there is a empty actor static so you can edit textures in exteneded FMB if you wish. I had to say that its a pleasure just to fly around countryside. It looks like Finland in August. Old campaigns looks like new now

Superb bit of work. Its like a new map.
Guess I need to invest in a new graphics card to get all of the trees though.
Have you worked out how to use the actors.static tools?

I will try actors tool this weekend. Tonight i just play 1 or 2 missions! (BTW i tryed to play AAA server other night, but it seems that i have no control to my plane. I can start the engine, throttles and other works fine, but my plane dont move....
)
