Small Control Tower - Fisneaky - 28.03.2008

Just the basics for a template on this one.

Got rid of the ugly black floor.

Very nice tower!!
Are we able to add new objects yet?
This substitutes the one we got now right ?

NC had some info on adding objects, so will look into that.

Just using these as replacements for now.

(may be a few days or so before I can get any of this stuff on DL. PSU meltdown on main rig so need to transplant HD)

Fisneaky, here's MiWa explanation on cloning, a bit modified here

Suppose you want to clone the Barrack object

Localise this object in the file
com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini

The lines defining the barrack are

[buildings.House$AirdromeBarrack]
Title Airdrome_Barrack
MeshLive 3do/Buildings/Airdrome/Barrack/live.sim
MeshDead 3do/Buildings/Airdrome/Barrack/dead.sim
Body RockBig
Panzer 0.24

1) Just add another entry in com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini maybe just below the lines above

[buildings.House$AirdromeBarrackExtra]
Title Airdrome_Barrack_Extra
MeshLive 3do/Buildings/Airdrome/Barrack_Extra/live.sim
MeshDead 3do/Buildings/Airdrome/Barrack_Extra/dead.sim
Body RockBig
Panzer 0.24

2) Add folder:

3do/Buildings/Airdrome/Barrack_Extra/

3) Copy all files from the original to this folder
4) Make the appropriate entries in the filelist.txt (I'm still doing it the old way)

After starting Il2 I had one more object. In my case, a complete clone.

Notice he was still using the old wrapper so the need to add entries to filelist.txt

Also you need first to have the static.ini file in the indicated folder. If you don't already have it from a previous mod then open files.sfs with the extractor and you'll get this static.ini file

Thanks for that (and the warehouse) info.
