Mods problem: Runtime error on maps - Former_Older - 29.03.2008

have downloaded the Malta maps

have updated all.ini- maps are listed in the FMB

I receive this error, inside the FMB, when I attempt to load any of the Malta maps:

World.Land()LoadMap()error:java.lang.RuntimeException:Landscape'[name of whatever map was chosen]'loading error

Any suggestions?

I can fly, for example, the H-75 or the Morko Morane- I just cannot load new maps. Two seperate map downloads for different maps give me this error

Also-

I was, without ANY doubt at all, running v4.09bm1. It said so on my splash screen while loading the sim

Now my loading screen reads "mods enabled v4.08"

What's going on here?

It was the version. I d/l'd the MOD patch for 4.09 and all is well now

Well, I have some Cyrillic but that's not currently an issue

Could you post a link to the 409 MOD patch?, I'm having the same error come up when I try to load a map. I have the unified installer package installed, I didn't know there was a 409 Mod patch. Does this patch install over the UI Mods? I think I'm a little confused, but I want to use my downloaded maps.

The UI 1.1 has the 4.09 patch included in it,if for some reason you are on 4.08 then your version has switched.Use the switcher and switch back to 4.09

some maps will not work on 4.08 as they must have 4.09 objects on them

Thanx for the reply EasyRider, I'll give it a try.

even without mods/patches you may encounter this error. after googling a while, here's the solution:
DISABLE the Catalyst A.I.

Posting this since my memory is like a swiss cheese and if I get this error again, here's the first place I'll check and find my own solution Big Grin
