MOD for seeing smoke and Fire further away - nearmiss - 30.03.2008
Has anyone done a MOD for the smoke and fire objects to be seen from greater distances?
It always seemed so strange to see a combat area ahead with not combat signs... i.e, smoke, fires
I know Oleg originally made the viewing distance shorter for lower level systems FPS problems.
This might not be an issue now at least not for some of the systems users have.

that was done too......but i noticed that its effects have been cancelled out by the use of the increased view distance available with 4.09bm and perfect

This MOD (to increase visiblity distance for Smoke, fire, AAA explosion, fuel outflow ...) already exists.
You can see AAA explosion or a plane which outflow fuel from 10 km !!!

....history:
1 Lowfighter discovers it and makes the very first mod .... somewhere in October last year
2 Uf Josee increased visibility mod took it even further
3 4.09 beta .... increased visibility to 72 km

Hi!
I want to see my bombs exploding from high altitudes. At the moment the drawing distance is about 4-5km, which sucks, because I never know what I hit unless I'm watching the replay.
So, all I need is an online-friendly "make-explosions-visible-for-about-10km-mod", but I can't find any
Maybe I'm blind, so if there is this one mod I could use, can somebody please rub my nose in it?
This one (The link is inoperative) sounds promising, but it's not downloadable

P.S.: I would also like it, if there was a config-file I simply can adjust to increase the effect visibility. In fact that would be awesome!
Okay, there is a rapidshare-link to download ut_josses mod, but while smoke seems to be visible infinite now, explosions still dissapear around 5km... any ideas?
