Possible to add a Spitfire MkII ? - slipper - 04.04.2008

I have just downloaded compans excellent new campaign at mission4today, in it he substitutes a Spitfire MKV for a Spitfire MKII, as the action takes place towards the end of the Battle Of Britain into 1941. I know we can substitute the MkI into the game, but i was wondering if the MKI FM could be modified fairly easy to add a MkII, as a new plane? would this be a fairly easy mod?

All good info, thx.

If you haven't already done so, download and start this campaign now. This is as good as it gets with new skins, voice files and authentic tactics. No other campaign gets the heartrate up quite like Compans'. I mean that literally too, listen closely, it's in one of the voice files.

The MkII would be an excellent option.

What engine exactly do you have in mind?

Merlin III

Merlin X

Merlin R.S. 2 S.M.

I'd definitely would want to have the engine that saw widespread use in the days of the Spitfire II (late 1940 early 1941). So not the most powerful or advanced or even later refitted to keep them up with the competition of the Friedrich or anything.

The Merlin XII might be the right choice?

But hey, it's the Internet,

i didnt know that spit mkII could land at a such low speed at 67miles per hour

Quite impressive! But that figure is corrected for zero wind and standard atmospheric pressure, so I would imagine the reality was a bit different?
