I think this is on someone's "to do" list so we will have to have patience and hopefully this will be done one day. I can imagine coming up with a new flight model and then all the messing about with Java to get the new aircraft slot is not something that can be done in a few minutes, plus Ranwers might still have stuff to do on the model?

Yes, but you see that we have now the Spit Mk I and the Bf-110 G4. Ranwers might have all the Typhoon stuff that he already did which perhaps is over half way done. I

Although the Tempest was tested and rated for rockets, it didn't use them during WWII..
A 'Typhoon' with its own FM and slot would be a wiser option for historical missions..

I thought the Tempest was mainly used as a fighter ... and that Typhoons were used for ground attack?

I have a short Normandy campaign over at M4T that uses the Tempest as a tiffie replacement.
If the typhoon gets a slot then I will defiantly redo it to fit and add some extras to the original flights and vehicles and such.

Yes it was, but it also carried out ground attack missions with bombs, but was cleared for rockets, although didn't use them in anger during WWII.. I have video footage of the Tempest carrying out rocket attacks during trials..
