Crashing at 60% - godverdoom - 17.04.2008

Some of you have found a way to been able to fix your IL-2 game, after it loaded up to 60% and crashed. What is the key, i asked it a couple of times in the Help Section, but no awnsers found. Can someone help me. What seems to be the main problem?

My latest add was the Dive sound mod.

A possible solution... Search your IL2 directory for a file called "buttons". If you have more than one instance of it then that's your problem. Delete (i.e. rename and move somewhere safe) the oldest one.

If this file is referenced in your filelist.txt then you'll likely have to remove that entry too. Backup your filelist.txt before you make any changes to it.

Thanks buddy for directing me towards the problem. But, there was no duplicate buttons file anywhere, however, the old buttons file that i incidently backed up was bigger in size than the old one, a bit strange, so i simply replaced it, and it works fine now for the moment :lol:

Lets see if it continues to work fine for me now.

I have a problem, over my 4.09 installation, I installed sound mod 0.93, plane pack... now my game backed up to 4.08!!! If I try to reinstall 4.09 my game freezes at 95% of loading time
