Ju-88-C6...sort of... - Checkyersix - 23.04.2008
I've been working on a mod of the beaufighter with a Ju-88 airframe overlaid on top. The cannons fire forward and the .50 cals are in a schrage-musik installation behind the cockipt. I've adapted a Pe-3 cockpit as well (can't extract the Ju-88 cockpit for some reason...anyone know why?).
I have to say it's fun to fly, with working landing gear, etc, even if it's not 100% accurate. Until we get a new FM and WM for a C6 or G model Ju88, would people be interested in flying this one instead?
Also not sure if it counts as a WM...it looks like a Ju-88 but it's really a beaufighter...sort of...
Pics later...

P.S. also working on an He-219...sort of...modded over the Do-335-V13...

Oh I was busy with it too - editing the alpha channel. Maybe combine our strengths?

Sure! On the Ju-88 or the Uhu? I'd love a real Ju-88 over anything I could cobble together...

With a bit of fiddling around you should be able to fit the Fw200 nosecone on the Ju88. Then remove the ventral gondola and replace it with the dual MG151 pod of the Bf110G-2 and the dual MG151 pod of the fw190-A9.
After that you need to enlarge the tailfin and rudder and cosmetically finish it of with a FuG220 build from radar parts of the G2ME.
And don't forget the Schr

I believe the mistel uses the tail of the Ju-188, which was also part of the Ju-88G, though I could be wrong.
As for the nose I have cooked up a poor-man's radar antennae that may fit...pics soon.

Thought I'd pop in and give my support. 8)
Any progress?
