Hello folks and help - Badjohnny10165 - 05.05.2008

Hi there, love the mods so far, have done fresh install, got sound mod, wrapper, ac installer, mod pack 2.4
and the wonderful spitfire Mk1.....Great work all.

I have now tried to install Mat manager, have renamed the Il-2fb to il-2, added the ClearCache=0
but when I launch it my game comes up in russian and or crashes to d/t.

Love the mods but would like to use Mat Manager too, please help a newbee, also take note I am 43yrs old am not that smart, and dont take critisism well ( also cant spell that good)

Thanks folks Smile

Yes.

Mat Manager is looking for a file called il2.exe. You should look for your new modded il2fb.exe file in your install directory and copy it and rename it to il2.exe

That should do it.

I guess that really it shouldn't be too hard to use the markings from Mat Manager without using Mat Manager itself by putting the artwork files in the Mods folder. I haven't looked at that myself but surely it's possible.
