Is there a "hs_err_pid###.log" dated at your last attempt?
or "sound.log"

These may tell you more about the CTD.

- rickster - 10.05.2008

Here is the sound log: new session
num channels 0
Speaker configuration restored
Audio finished

- Fisneaky - 10.05.2008

Quote:-- new session --
num channels 32
Speaker config restored.
Audio finished.
(after successful launch)

Did you set sample rate in-game or via Il2setup.exe(try the latter)

- rickster - 10.05.2008

il2setup.exe and also IL2Stab.

- rickster - 10.05.2008

New sound log:
new session
num channels 32
cannot open file for reading
cannot open audio file samples /DB605_3001.wav
speaker configuration restored
audio finished

- Fisneaky - 10.05.2008

Have you tried playing the wav in media player (should be in Files\samples, though you probably have a later version than me- I don't have _3001.wav among mine)

Give your version no. see if anyone else knows. May be a corrupt file , possibly a codec issue.
