Nothing unusual there. 13th Fighter Command flew P-38s from Guadalcanal, with the 1st aircraft arriving there on the 12th of November 1942. After their arrival P-38s were fully integrated with USMC and USN aircraft operating from Cactus.

FA_Cheech the, in jest, remark concerning the P38 is due to the fact that it carries European markings not because I was not aware P38s fought in the Pacific.
