New MAP : OKINAWA - LAL_RONE - 03.06.2008
Hi everybody.
Few mouth ago, I worked about a new Oinawa map :
- new relief
- new texture
- new forest
- new Yontan, Kadena & Ie Shima base
- ...

Your Okinawa map is where I first noticed the land/Pacific/field5_burma.tga texture......and so i used it in my Thailand map ....a lot
I also made an Okinawa and Japan large map...but stopped work on it to carry on with my main project.....
if you or anyone wants to continue it you are welcome.....

I was stationed on Okinawa for three years (US Army) in the early 90's. Oleg's maps do not look anything like the Okinawa islands and in my opinion are the best illustration that Pacific Fighters was an unfinished work.
Your work improves the stock maps by 300%!
There is a link here on more information including aerial photos from that time which cover Okinawa in case anyone is interested in refining this good work even more
