3D Propellers bug with video - Potenz - 21.06.2008
Now with the stuka_40 and renmik mods we have nice filming prop effects, and very thanks to you lads.
But i realized that playing online is a interesting bug, not with the mod of course, anybody has noticed than when others planes stops his engines sometimes propellers keep spinning and is not the flat disk, you can see the 3D prop spinning and some times really fast, so my doubt is if somebody with the skills on mesh modding can eliminate the flat disk and try to make the 3D prop works at high rpm.

This particular bug in online game makes me think that is possible to do, as i'm not have any skill on modding mesh files is just a though.

2d prop is probably a FPS saver. A 3d prop spinning that fast i think makes it hard for the GFX to track and perform anti-aliasing.

when i see 3D props spinning in online bug, there's no problem with AA, spins so smooth, will be great give it a try, if kills fps we'll know it, if not will be great.

I've seen bent up props continue to spin long before the mods were made. This is a game bug, same as coop missions where players land, shut off their engines, but the prop continues to slowly rotate. Visually it is very annoying, but is probably a game coding problem.

i know that this is before the mods, i'm just saying that 3D prop are possible instead of the 2D flat disk we have today.
