Improvement of certain 3d models and bumps - Metatron - 27.06.2008
Some of the older models, especially the Mig-3 look wrong compared to their real counterpart. I'm guessing it's possible to make some new 3d for some of these planes? Like new spinners etc.
Another thing i've been thinking about is if it's possible to add small 'bumps' to the 3d models of the planes so that the reflections pass over a less than completely smooth surface.
What do you think?

I agree. Also air intake of all Fw-190A looks just horrible. I would be very thankful to anyone who will fix this.

Exactly. Some of the models have almost perfect curves. It would be awesome if we could bring them all to the same level.

quite simply; i wouldn't hold my breath.
The work load for even the most basic change is intense.

Indeed it is

It is true that no aircraft ever was in ideal condition, from day one after assembly small deformations and imperfections would appear and this is perfectly normal.
The problem - you would then have ALL planes with EXACTLY the same imperfections. Those bumps and little differences were unique to each aircraft - ie no two P-51's were identical in reality.
IMHO having all planes with exactly identical imperfections would not be much better than having them all represented in ideal condition.

The part you quoted was about all models having the same level of quality.
But I agree.
