Mixed Versions of A/C in a Flight - duffys tavern - 03.07.2008
A long time ago, I think, someone was working on a way to have mixed versions
of aircraft in the same flight, i.e. P-51B & P-51D; P-47D-10 & P-47D-22; Hurricanes & Spits.
Anyone know if it's still being worked on? Just curious.

That would be great. Fw-190 Ds and As often flew within the same schwarm for example.

During late 1943 and into the first quarter of 1944 it was not uncommon to see mixed flights of F4U-1 and F4U-1A Corsairs in the Solomon Islands. Doing mixed flights would be a really nice feature.
