Mmm.. that's a bit offhand. I wouldn't mind a co-pilot slot.. Think about it, someone to concentrate on navigation and an extra pair of eyes in the cockpit..

Ok so it's been tried, that's a big improvement on just No for an answer, thanks for that Wink

The next logical question is when was it tried? Bearing in mind that il2 modding is an ever changing science, breaking new ground and all that Smile Also, does the Ju-88 not already have some sort of co-pilot position?

I, like Trooper, and I'm sure many of us, would like to see this one if at all possible. Maybe Slow as a cool & slick modder in the know can explain better than his initial "No" as to why this is not possible...for now Wink

There was a quite a few of our most talented having a try at this. Admittedly this was back at the release of the Tigermoth... Of course, there is ever the possibility of something happening - eventually maybe, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

The game simply can not have more than one position where the player is in control of the aircraft. The co-pilot position of the Ju-88 is just the pilots but with bombsight and on another position. We can't have a position for a SECOND player. That's all mate.'


Yes I know, it's a new era of IL-2 Modding. Just it's not possible for now and don't wait for it - it might take a long time before this is possible :wink:

Has the bomber position mod been put forward? Always wanted to be able to have someone do the flight controls while another person bombed.
