Realistic Camera Views... - Fight2FlyPhoto - 07.07.2008

I'm really into making videos to post online and am rather new to IL2. I see a lot of really great videos out there and would like to know how people get such realistic views. I use the Static Cam's and everything, but the zoom is totally unrealistic as you can only decrease the FOV by so much (not "zooming" in to the aircraft enough) and moving the camera view closer (I guess you could call it zooming) doesn't create a really accurate visual.

Also, I see camera angles that have a nice, fluid, almost free-floating affect that I can't seem to find in the game.

Thank you for any help/advice,

Jason

Only way I found to replicate what you're after is to focus on a plane when in the cockpit but using the 'no 3d-cockpit' mode. Trouble is, if there're too many planes you get horrible little arrows pointing at them all over the screen. Don't know how to solve that one I'm afraid.

Hmmm, I use the "no 3d cockpit mode" without getting any arrows. It may have something to do with the icon settings in the config.ini file, or try turning icons off in game. I can't remember which one it is but it definately can be done.

Easy just take the Icons off Tongue
